--Standing 6-4, 220 pounds, Linwood was the star center for Mary McLeod Bethune High School in Bucktown, Alabama, a small community of approximately 250 African-Americans that was located right outside of Adulasia. According to the school’s official scorekeeper, Linwood’s uncle, Sylvester, Linwood averaged 76 points, 48 rebounds and 43 blocks, 34 steals and 2 assists a game during his senior season. “The boy just had a gift. People say he only dominated like he did because he was four inches taller than the next tallest kid, but that ain’t have nothing to do with it. He could stand still and dunk that ball from the free throw line. He shot 98% percent from the line because of that.” Sylvester adds that Linwood wasn’t selected to play in the 1982, where he would have faced Cheese Eyes McDonald’s All-American game “because of racism.”

Fiya Basketball Prospects, v.2
by: Linwood Jenkins
, for Sports

Who's a prospect, who's not. Awww shutup and read.

Point Guards

  1. Javaris Crittenton
Believe me, I am a big Conley fan, but once you factor in the talent surrounding him at Ohio State in comparison to what JC was working with at G-Tech, it becomes a much closer race. And while Conley is the better floor general, JC’s size, jump shot and explosiveness make him a better long term prospect. This kid will be one of the better PGs to enter the league in the last five years.

  2. Mike Conley
There’s really nothing not to like about Conley. He knows what he’s doing. It’s difficult to find PG prospects who understand the game so well at this point in their careers. Conley has arguably the highest IQ of any PG prospect in the draft, but what truly separates him from the rest is his leadership ability. He seldom appears rattled or frustrated. He calmly led his team to several impressive comebacks throughout the season.

  3. Aaron Brooks
One of the quickest players I’ve ever seen. In my opinion, there isn’t a huge drop-off here. I put Brooks just below Crittenton and Conley. He’s got the best shot of the college PG crop and he’s tougher than the rest of them. I only worry about injuries with this guy. He’s slight as hell. I also worry about him getting dogged on the blocks by opposing guards.

  4. Gabe Pruitt
He just needs for it to click and he’s gonna take off. He’s the best athlete of the bunch. Good shot. Excellent defender. The only problem is we don’t know how long it’s gonna take for it to click or if it will ever click at all. He’s not a natural point and I’m not sure if he’ll ever learn to be. But, if he could be the sixth man on a nice squad, he’d be a popular guy with NBA fans.

  5. Acie Law
Not hating, but the four above him are clearly superior, to me. He’s a good shooter and a good defender, but he’s not very explosive. I don’t see how his game translates to the NBA. To compensate for the lack of physical superiority, he’d have to be that much smarter than the majority of the opposition and I just don’t see it.

    Best of the rest...
  6. Brandon Heath
  7. Bobby Brown
  8. Petteri Koponen
  9. Mustapha Shakur
  10. Taurean Green

Shoot Guards

  1. Daequan Cook
Fearless. Explosive. Potential. That’s all you need to know about him. There is no way I can’t put him at the top of the SG crop knowing that, at his best, he’s far more talented than the rest of these dudes. When he puts it together, he's gonna be a terrible cover for dudes. His midrange pull up is not something you expect from an athlete of his caliber.

  2. Rodney Stuckey
Like most, I’m worried about the level of competition he saw in college, but fuck it…good is good. He’s a combo guard, but the recent success of Gilbert, Gordon and Ellis will silence a lot of that bullshit talk. He’s a rare scorer. When he’s on, he can carry a team to a win, breaking the opposition’s spirit with a barrage of points. At worst, he’ll be on the Flip Murray level.

  3. Morris Almond
I can watch dude shoot all day. He’s rarely off balance when he lets it go. He’s one of them dudes that’s gonna play 10+ years just because of his jumpshot. In terms of what he’ll bring to a team consistently, he’s a can’t miss prospect. His upside if just very limited. But, that’s okay. Upside gets people fired.

  4. Nick Young
Seriously, I don’t trust this dude. Sometimes, well, pretty damn often, he just doesn’t play very hard. With his type of skill and athleticism, he should be a lot more dominant. While he certainly has eye-popping talent, he coasts a lot of the time. It bothers me.

  5. Aaron Afflalo
He’s fallen a bit on my charts, but that’s okay. I still think he’ll make a solid pro. He plays all out all the time and he’s a good shooter and rugged defender. He’s clearly a system player, which spells doom for everyone if he goes to the Spurs at 28. He will be on that wing fucking them threes up.

    Best of the rest...
  6. Rudy Fernandez/Marco Belinelli
  7. Trey Johnson
  8. Ron Lewis
  9. D.J. Strawberry
  10. Renaldus Seibutus

Small Forwards

  1. Kevin Durant
    What needs to be said?

  2. Corey Brewer
Can’t miss. Very good athlete, high IQ, defends, tough and clutch. No one knows how good he’ll be, but no one is worried about him being a bust. He’s a top SF prospect. And if he plays SG, he’s probably the best there.

  3. Julian Wright
I love his game, but he has a real chance to be the biggest bust in this draft. He looks like he’s gonna have injury problems (he just does) and he’s too unselfish. Honestly, I like his game better than Brewer's, but he lacks that toughness that assures folks. He gets the #2 over Green based on potential. His jumper is kinda wack, too.

  4. Jeff Green
Like Wright, a bit too unselfish. Unlike Wright, he has shown ability and willingness to take over games. Very smart player and doesn’t get rattled easily. But, I do worry about his athleticism. He’s one of those “smooth” players. These guys are hard to read, because they can be “smooth” like Pippen or “smooth” like Moten. Ya just never know. I think Green is somewhere in between.

  5. Thaddeus Young
He’s certainly a dude that catches your eyes with some of the shit he does. The problem with him is consistency. But, that’s because he’s so damn young. I wish he had stayed another year, because all it’s gonna take is a difficult rookie year, followed by a couple of shaky years after, and he’s in Darius Milesville. Still, the tools are there. He’s a great athlete and has a nice shot. He might be one of the best players from this draft, when it’s all said and done.

  6. Marcus Williams
It’d be easy to dismiss him for being light-skinned and from the Pac-10, but I like his game. He can do everything and I fucks with that. He takes his time when he plays and that’s gonna help him at the NBA level, because he’s not gonna make a lot of mistakes. It’s almost a blessing for him not be taken very high, because he’s gonna be able to relax and make the transition without much pressure.

    Best of the rest...
  7. Wilson Chandler
  8. Demetrius Nicholls/Jared Dudley
  9. Al Thornton (No…he’s a moron)
  10. Reshawn Terry
  11. Derrick Byars

Power Forwards

  1. Joakim Noah
I don’t wanna hear all that extra shit. He wins game and he’s the gulliest. I don’t care about his skill set. He’s gully and plays hard in big games and he wins them. He’ll never lose confidence, because he’s an asshole and he’s gonna outwork dudes that are better players than him. Never doubt a bamma athlete. Noah is the biggest bamma in this years draft class.

  2. Al Horford
I was shocked to find out Al was a legit 6-9. He’s a monster. He’ll make a bigger impact on defense first, but he’s gonna eventually be a consistent high-teens scorer. He’s a bit mechanical on the blocks, but that’s okay. It’s all there, he just needs to smooth that shit out.

  3. Brandan Wright
Actually, I’m scared to have him this high. I’m scared of him playing on a half court team. He’s a runner. He’s does most of his damage in the open floor. During grind it out games, he has a tendency to float. He’s fallen a little over the past few weeks, but his potential is still top-5.

  4. Glen Davis
This might blow up in my face, but I can’t get over the star quality. He’s got a legit NBA game and I usually dismiss burger-timers, but I fucks with Big Baby. He’s just good. I can’t explain. I know for sure he gonna kick ass on the boards. But, he can shoot and he's got dat pizzazz to his game. Fine, maybe I’m gonna look stupid, but I gotta put him in the top five.

  5. Josh McRoberts
He’s a facilitator, one of the best passers in the draft. On the right team, he can be big-time. On a shitty team, he can be a big ass crybaby, who thinks his teammates are beneath him, just like he was in college.

    Best of the rest...
  6. Nick Fazekas
  7. Big Ass Chinaman That’s Gonna Get Someone Fired
  8. Jason Smith
  9. Tiago Splitter
  10. Herbert Hill

Centers

  1. Greg Oden
    What needs to be said?

  2. Sean Williams
You read right. He’s gonna save a job and get someone fired. I certainly wouldn’t pass on him if I have any semblance of job security.

  3. Spencer Hawes
Excellent offensive game. He’ll struggle against other more mobile bigs, and that might curb his development, but he’s smart of enough to figure it out after a couple of years. If he doesn’t, he won’t play more than 25 minutes per game for his career, because he’ll be a walking foul.

  4. Marc Gasol
It’s Pau’s brother. He gotta be a little good, right?

  5. Aaron Gray
He's gonna collect 10 years worth of checks and start a damn company, then end up with more dough than most of these niggas. Watch.

    Best of the rest...
  6. Kyler Visser
  7. James Hughes
  8. Darryl Watkins
  9. Stanko Barac
  10. Kyrylo Fasenko
